A Belated Visual Report of a Trip to the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show
The Tucson Gem & Mineral Show is one of the largest in the country and is a fascinating and beautiful day out (not to mention being expensive when you want to BUY ALL THE THINGS). While there are large collections and tented areas for vendors that sell the kinds of large marble tabletops or stone monoliths you see in hotels, there are practically limitless vendors that sell to the public quite happily.
Their collection of rocks* is mind-boggling.
Going through the vast mazes of vendor booths and stalls is dizzying to say the least and it's practically impossible not to buy something, partly because the Gem and Mineral Show doesn't just have gems and minerals but all sorts of jewelry and accessories.
So, here are a bunch of pictures I took at the gem show last year (I did say belated, didn't I?).
